February 2026 Confidence Indexes Revealed: Retail Confidence Increased, Construction Sector Declined
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced the Service, Retail Trade, and Construction Confidence Index data for February 2026. According to seasonally adjusted results, there was an increase in the retail trade sector, while a decline was observed in the construction sector.

The retail trade sector showed the strongest performance in February. The confidence index increased by 2.9% compared to the previous month, reaching 115.9 levels. This increase in the sector indicated an improvement in domestic demand and sales expectations.
On the other hand, the service sector displayed a stable outlook. The confidence index remained unchanged at 113.8 levels on a monthly basis, maintaining the current confidence level.
However, there was a weakness in the construction sector. The confidence index decreased by 2.1% in February compared to the previous month, dropping to 83.9 levels. This data highlighted cautious expectations in the sector.
